Chief Minister First Sabahan To Get Vaccine Shot

KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor was the first to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with Pfizer-BioNTech during the state immunization programme launch today.

He arrived at the Sabah State Administrative Center multipurpose hall at 10am before a quick interview by medical staff.

Hajiji received his shot at 10.07am and was monitored for 15 minutes before being allowed his leave to start the programme.

Vaccinated after him was Sabah Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun, Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Shahelmy Yahya, Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali and Sabah Health Director Dr. Christina Rundi.

There were 60 other recipients that were given their shots as symbolic for the program launch.

On 25 Feb, Sabah received its first batch of Covid-19 vaccines comprising 16,380 doses Pfizer-BioNTech then divided across the state for its people with emphasis on frontliners.

Masidi who is the COVID-19 spokesperson for Sabah said FIVE (5) more batches varying brand of vaccines are expected to land in Sabah until 1 April.
