SANDAKAN, SABAH – General Operations Force (GOF) police detained two men at an oil palm plantation along Mile 14, of Jalil Alip here seizing a shotgun and 13 buck shots.
The duo, aged 21 and 49 were detained by personnel of the 15th Battalion’s Tiger Platoon about 9.45pm.
Sabah GOF Brigade Commander SAC Mohd Abduh Ismail said the first of the two was stopped while he was driving a four wheel drive vehicle.
“Inspections upon the vehicle discovered the buckshot and during interrogations his friend suddenly appeared with the gun…
“They were immediately detained while further investigations revealed neither possessed identification documents or a firearm license,” he said in a media statement.
The seized firearms including the vehicle and both suspects were brought to the district police station for processing.
