KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – All Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Cabinet Ministers & Assistant Ministers will receive 50 percent paycuts effective this month towards a COVID-19 fund in managing the pandemic.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Haji Noor who is also State Finance Minister said all GRS State Assemblymen will also forego 30 percent (30%) of their pay cheque for a month in support of the same cause.
This was decided after Hajiji chaired a State Cabinet meeting yesterday.
“We in the GRS Government stand in solidarity with the people in this trying times,” he said.

Meanwhile, the State Cabinet has also announced the Bantuan Sabah Prihatin 3.0 COVID-19 totalling RM120,469,481 million and a further RM34.4 million food baskets aid to all sectors affected by the pandemic.
Hajiji when met during a working visit at the Kepayan Police Contingent today said the package will be in form of one-off cash handouts totalling RM 300 to the hardcore poor listed in the eKasih database and to those whose incomes are affected by the COVID-19 brought economic decline.
