Semporna Police Arrest 27-Year-Old Fish Bomber

SEMPORNA, SABAH – A 27-year-old man was taken into Marine Police custody after two detonator sticks were found on his pump boat on Sunday.

Further police inspection on waters near Tongkaloh revealed a set of tools believed to used for bomb fishing.

Semporna Marine Police Commanding Officer DSP Mohammad Ismail said the man and his yellow boat were charged under Section 8 of the Explosives Act.

“Seized items including a 15hp outboard engine totaling RM 10,715,” he said said in statement.
