SEMPORNA, SABAH – Two brothers had the fright of their lives when ambushed by ten armed robbers near Pinang Estate here on 15 May (Saturday).
The duo, 43 and 22, were on separate motorcycles back to Nasip Kita Estate from a friends house when stopped by two cars.
District police chief, Supt Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said all men were armed with sharp objects in the 5pm incident.
“One of them lunged at one of the victims and struck him on the head with a samurai sword…
“The victim at the time was wearing a helmet which thankfully protected him,” he said.
The suspects had the two at knifepoint when they looted them of all their valuables, getting away with RM 600 cash, a handphone and two motorcycles along with their papers.
“The victims lodged a report at Bandar Sri Indah saying the suspects fled towards Tawau,” Farhan added.
Meanwhile, police are on a manhunt for one of the suspects identified as Haslam Abdul Talib, 28, whose last known address is at Jalan Tun Fuad, Kunak.
