KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – Civil servants are reminded to keep it professional when it comes to politics in the workplace.
Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) deputy president Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai opined that while having political conviction is a human right, the responsibilities as a public employee comes first.
He was referring to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri’s recent announcement to lift political involvement bans for KEMAS teachers and staff.
“For example, in a classroom environment, a teacher should not colour their teachings with political statements to children,” he told reporters at a Chinese New Year walkabout in Gaya Street yesterday.
Yee said he was pleased seeing businesses picking up into the year of the tiger.

“Although the number of stalls is limited due to adherence of SOPs, it is all for the best as to avoid another lockdown.
“It’s good to see other political parties active again as well. That means society is coming back to life and managed to get COVID-19 under control,” he said…
Parti Warisan and DAP members were also having their walkabouts at the same time there.
Yee said PBS is a multicultural party that celebrates all festivities and intends on keeping that tradition being the longest-running political party in Sabah.
