KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – A pair of guard dogs kept a Taman Khidmat home intruder up on the rooftops until police arrival yesterday.
Speaking of the 12.30pm incident, City police chief ACP Habibi Majinji said the alertness of a 65-year-old homeowner and immediate contact with authorities led to the suspects capture.
“The 38-year-old man clad only in underwear while wielding a metal rod had attempted to flee by jumping on to a neighbors rooftop…
“A police team from the Luyang police station quickly subdued him where he stood,” he confirmed when contacted.
Simple drug tests on the suspect returned positive for syabu. His records meanwhile shows that he was previously convicted of drug abuse in the Kota Belud district.
The man has since been remanded for further investigation under Section 477 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass.
