BEAUFORT, SABAH – A hardened syabu addict and peddler is apparently set in his ways after being rearrested for drugs.
The 23-year-old was picked up at his Kampung Brunei home about 6pm yesterday just after a month of being released on police bail.
District police chief, DSP Yusoff Zaki Yaacob said the man’s reasoning was the same as before.
“Investigations revealed the suspects involvement in drug peddling began early 2021 because he claimed he had no other means of making money…
“Two packets of syabu both weighing 5.09 grams were seized during the raid,” Yusoff said.
Urine drug tests on the man meanwhile returned positive for methamphetamine.
“The suspect claims to have been getting supplies from a local man known as Dino in Bongawan, Papar near here…
“His criminal records show three counts of drug offences with the first dated in 2018,” the chief detailed.
The suspect is currently remanded for further investigation under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
