Salleh Visits Road Upgrading Project Sites, Villagers With Health Issues

KOTA BELUD, SABAH – The Jalan Tengkurus Lahanas and Jalan Podos Taginambur upgrading projects are currently in the process of appointing consultants to start the works, said Warisan Harta Sdn Bhd Chairman Datuk Seri Salleh Said.

He said the upgrading for 10 kilometres of Jalan Tengkurus Lahanas is worth RM67 million while for Jalan Podos, involving five kilometres, worth RM32 million.

Salleh, who is also Usukan Assemblyman, said the nine kilometre-long Jalan Pirasa Malaga, Mandap Deluoh, will also be upgraded and now this RM55 million project is in the process of tender for this year.

All these projects are included in the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) under the theme of People’s Growth, he said during his visit at the sites of the projects on Wednesday.

Earlier, Salleh was accompanied by Kota Belud District Engineer, Jamilah Tukang, District Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS) Engineer, Jaffri Bahan, and District Assistant District Officer (ADO), Peter Jiton, also conducted a survey on the sand dredging area and riverbank at Kg Rangalau.

Before that, Salleh who is also Sabah GRS Backbenchers Club Chairman also visited villagers who are suffering from health issues at Kg Gaur, Kg Mengkulat, Kg Tuguson and Kg Narinang. Kadamaian Community Development Leader (PPM), Demis Rumanti, also took part in the visit.
