KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – Police arrested an armed security guard for unintentionally discharging his shotgun in a bank at Api-Api Centre here today.
No one was harmed in the 7.55 incident except for the floor.
City police chief, ACP Habibi Majinji said they received a report from the bank’s management at 10.45am.
“The man in his 50’s was arrested under Section 39 of the Arms Act for discharging a gun in public,” he said.
Habibi said jail time for up to two years or an RM 2000 fine or both could be imposed on the offender if convicted.
