PENAMPANG, SABAH – A police task force team setup catches up on duo comprising two men including a foreigner responsible for break-ins in Bundusan and Beverly Hills.

The success is believed to have solved eight cases in the district here.

“They are still remanded for investigation,” district police chief DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim said today.

The thieves would use modified screw drivers to pry open restaurant roller shutters and would only accept cash.

“They would then go on a luxurious spree spending the stolen money at hotels.

The 31-year-old man was arrested with a 13-year-old boy about 9am at Center Point on Monday under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

“The partners in crime have been active since early this year”.

Police call them “Geng Taufik”. Both were tested clean of drugs do not own a criminal record.

“This is their first one. The underage boy is Filipino. Partners in crime,” Haris said.

Haris reminded to maximize premise security whenever possible to avoid being targets.

He was speaking during the 214th National Police Day 214.
